Nominating: Balance too low

Hey Kusama Community,

I’ve just tried to set up a stash account. I actually wanted to select another controller, however I selected my stash to be also the controller by mistake.
Now it seems that my whole balance is bonded and I’d have to wait if I tried to change it.
So I tried to go on with this.
After I nominated and signed the transaction, I got the following error message:

staking.nominate
1010: Invalid Transaction: Inability to pay some fees , e.g. account balance too low

That’s really strange. I selected my stash account to pay for the transaction fee, and there is enough KSM on it.

Does that mean, I can’t pay with funds which are bonded?

I’ve just tried to unbond my funds, and I got the exact same error there.

Good that it’s only a small balance.
However I ask myself what the issue is.? I did the exact same thing on Polkadot with a small balance and it worked there…

If anyone has got the same issue, the fix was presented in the Polkadot Forum.
It’s due to the lack of transferable amount on the Stash (everything is bonded).
Please avoid my mistake and don’t stake your whole balance, so you can pay for your executions.
